BACKGROUND: A Story Of How Kingdom Hearts Makes No Sense
PERSONALITY: Xion is a sweet, sad soul - ages older in her heart than the handful of days that she was given life. Made to be an emotionless, heartless puppet, she gained a sense of self and a purpose that she was never expected to have, quickly branding her a failure.
At her very surface, she is shy and uncertain. An outcast by her own hand. Preferring seclusion and mystery to the open arms of all her comrades, she searches for her place through her duty and determination to succeed. Xion fumbles for the right thing to say at first, unsure of how to proceed in an unfamiliar situation but determined to try. Once a bond has been forged, she allows herself to be more open and would do anything for the people who have earned her trust and love. Even at the cost of her own life.
Her strength of character shines greatest in her commitment to “doing right”, even if that “right” might be harmful or even deadly to her. Self-sacrificial for the greater good, as she shies away from the crowd or questions the worth of her very life, she is a pillar of strength without even realizing it.

It’s not really a surprise given that Xion is an imperfect fragment of Sora - a boy with the natural ability to find friends no matter where he goes. She thrives with the love of others around her, however she does not seek it out as he does, and she lacks the ability to be truly and authentically herself around stranger. Her personality makes itself known when she's comfortable with someone, not at a first glance. While she can be loud and boisterous, sassy, and confrontational - she doesn't typically do it unless she's come to know that person quite well.
However! All of this said, Xion is most certainly flawed.
Xion has a strong tendency to overreact and a temper that should not be trifled with. Her sweetness and shyness is counterbalanced by a tendency to fly off the handle - if her attack is not outward, it’s inward. Xion struggles with self-esteem, self-worth, and her very self-image is contingent upon how those around her view her. If unable to perform as she believes she should, she has a habit of becoming self-defeating and destructive.
Xion’s secretive nature also often leads her to internalize her emotions and shoulder all her pain alone in an attempt to protect those around her from it. It only ends in their concern worsening and her guilt manifesting through erratic actions. Though Xion can accurately be described as selfless, her selflessness stems from a mixture of low self-worth and refusal to stray from the path she has chosen.
Her low self-worth and quick temper make her a prime target for manipulation. Be it Riku, encouraging her to return to Sora, or Xemnas setting her on her path - Xion struggles to decide what to do with her life but is determined to do the best to make her own decisions. She truly and honestly wishes to do right by the people who put their faith in her, but sometimes stumbles along the path.
What’s worse is that she is exceptionally stubborn. Once her mind is made up on a choice there’s no turning her back from it. It doesn’t matter if she’s being misled or not, if Xion believes that she is on the right path she’ll walk to its end.
Which brings us to her situation now: sacrificing herself to return to Sora was not all she hoped it would be. Xion still exists as a sentient being inside of Sora, something she most likely didn't count on - and no one remembers her. What she saw as a chance of escaping Xemnas' plans and chains instead turned into a prison of its own. Xion is deeply, deeply sad and perhaps even a little bitter at the choice she's made, but there's nothing to do but live with it for the sake of the people she loves.
POWER:
- Keyblade
Xion has the ability to summon her Keyblade, one of these unnamed monstrosities though it will look a little more like this here. The keyblade is capable of opening any lock and being used to bludgeon people upside the head. Xion's keyblade in particular is something of a mimicry of the other keyblades and so isn't a true keyblade, and is therefore not capable of opening up hearts or unlocking them.
- Impressionable
Xion's appearance will react to the hearts of other people. If they begin to project feelings onto her - thinking that she looks like someone they know, or reminds her of that person (be it themselves or someone else) - her face and hair will begin to mirror that person's. This is limited solely to her appearance, she can't change shape, alter her voice, or change in any fundamental way. And it will only last as long as she's around that person. She cannot take more than once face at a time.
With practice, she could learn to hold these faces for roughly an hour while away from the person who projected it. As her sense of identity becomes more stable and she begins to feel more at home, she'll become more resistant to this and will be able to stop it from happening.
Relating to this, details about Xion may be forgotten by people if she didn't make a memorable first impression or establish herself firmly in their mind or heart. They will remember the details of the conversations but may not be able to attribute them to her, or won't necessarily recognize her if they were to meet again. Think Mr. Burns and Homer Simpson.
- Crystallokinesis
Xion was a skilled magic user in life, and while dying her body turned into crystals and disappeared into specks of golden light. Ergo, the 'Porter will warp her natural affinity for magic into crystallokinesis. A fully non-canon ability.
Using this ability, Xion can create, shape and manipulate crystals. These crystals have the appearance of ablone shells and the properties of quartz. They last only for only twenty minutes and will disintegrate and disappear into light once enough time has elapsed. Xion can also have them disappear at will. She needs to vanish one crystal construct before she can summon another one.
These crystals can be summoned and launched at enemies, made into a sword and shield, or as a wall to deflect a blast. With time and heaps of practice she could use them to slide along the ground.

I was wondering... Could anyone tell me when it gets warm enough to visit the beach? I went the other day, but there was so much ice on the ground I couldn't even pick up the shells.
